THE African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) has been criticised for omitting its former leader and Economic Freedom Fighter, Julius Malema, from its 80th-anniversary celebrations and its graphics memorabilia.


On Tuesday, 3 September, the Youth League celebrated its 80th birthday and shared a poster of its former leaders since inception, but Malema's face was nowhere to be seen.Malema's exclusion from the anniversary mobilisation poster and graphics has been described as a troubling act of historical erasure.
