Amazon has paused its drone delivery operations in the U.S. after a series of crashes involving its Prime Air drones, according to Bloomberg. In December, two drones crashed during testing in rainy conditions at a facility in Pendleton, Oregon, while another test in September resulted in a mid-air collision due to simultaneous flights. The company has suspended drone deliveries in Texas and Arizona, pending a software update to address these issues. Amazon’s Prime Air program, which aims to deliver 500 million packages annually by the end of the decade, has faced numerous challenges, including executive departures and the termination of operations in California.
