Guyana is actively clearing wreckage from its waterways to enhance navigation as ship traffic increases to support the growing oil sector. Since 2023, over 14 wrecks have been removed, with plans to clean up three more in the coming months, contingent on favorable weather, according to Maritime Administration Director Stephen Thomas.
