The Virginia Attorney General’s office, led by Jason Miyares, was hit by a cyberattack that took nearly all of its computer systems offline. Chief Deputy Attorney General Steven Popps informed staff via email that systems such as Net Docs, Outlook, Teams, VPN access, and internet connectivity were down. Virginia State Police and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the attack. The office has not yet commented on the incident, but courts have provided temporary paper filing options for attorneys.
