The breach was detected after the firm noticed suspicious activity on its network, revealing unauthorized access to files containing sensitive data, including names, Social Security numbers, employee IDs, and medical information. Despite finding no evidence of misuse, the firm is notifying affected individuals and offering free credit monitoring services. While an incident notice highlighted challenges in locating certain individuals to provide direct notification, the firm did not disclose the type of cyberattack or whether extortion was involved.
